Introduction - Hakodate Morning Market is one of the markets in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Most of the stores were damaged by the tsunami in the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, but with the help of citizen volunteers, the business resumed on April 1. Currently, there are about 280 stores in total, including the market and other peripheral stores. On April 12, 2014, a new facility "Hakodate Morning Market Plaza" opened.
